correction

I thought that I should make a correction to the post that I had created claiming Jesse was turning into a citidiot. Recently, on numerous occassions, I have come to find him lying in bed reading a magazine about no till with a giant smile on his face. Also, on another occassion, I have caught him drawing pictures at the table of his ideal manure spreader. Now, if that's not a farmer through and through, I don't know who is. So I apologize, he is still pure country.

the migration of the blue jay

It turned out that the Blue Jays were playing the Los Angeles Angels this past weekend in Anaheim. In the words of Jesse, jackpot. With Roy Halliday pitching, double jackpot. So we drove to Anaheim to see the game.We got there a few minutes late which turned out to be just enough time for Roy Halliday to get hit in the elbow and leave the game. Jesse was a little disappointed. He had to settle for the pitching styles of Josh Towers instead.

The stadium was a little different than the Rogers Center. What with the open concept and the waterfall on the one side which would shoot fireworks every time the Angels got a home run.

In the sea of red, full of loud obnoxious fans, Jesse and I were a little out of place. However, we did find that there was at least one other Jays fan there who really got into the game.
This picture is of Troy Glaus after he struck out with the bases loaded and then got thrown out of the game. Now it would appear that with the attention I seemed to pay to the game that I am an actual baseball fan. Well, that is wrong. I just happened to come out of my boredom daze at this point in the game so I got a picture. I still am not a fan.

the country boy becomes a citidiot

As much as Jesse will deny it, he's becoming more and more of a Californian. Right now his favourite drink is a frappucino from Starbucks and his favourite wine selection is strawberry zinfandel. What would John Deere think?

the wine is cause that's all steph can handle, the frappucino is actually quite tasty

Malibu

On Saturday, Jesse and I took a trip to Malibu for the afternoon. We went to El Matador State Beach which is about 40 minutes from our house. The beach was very cool although due to the tide, not very big. The waves on the other hand were. I waded in the water for a while although I kept having stones and other odd things that felt weird washed onto my feet by the waves. Jesse just read his book in the sand. Perhaps next time I'll actually go swimming.
