Pancake Tuesday

Jesse and I celebrated Pancake Tuesday (AKA Fat Tuesday) this year in true American style: we went to IHOP. We each got a free short stack of pancakes in addition to our breakfasts. It's obviously called Fat Tuesday for a reason.

Dolphin Video

The dolphins are a little hard to see...every once in a while if you see a black triangle appear, that's a dolphin.

Jesse and I made use of the excellent weather yesterday and headed out to Malibu to do some beach sitting. We stayed for a couple of hours...most of which was spent reading our respective books and eating the food that we brought. If that was all that happened I wouldn't have bothered posting this information. However, we were lucky enough to see some dolphins, about 12 or so, swimming along about 20 metres from shore. We were not the lucky few who were actually out swimming with them (there were a bunch of surfers floating on their boards...the dolphins swam right through them...I think some of the guys were patting the dolphin tails) but it was a cool sight none the less. One more thing to check off my list of things to see.
