On our first day we made it to Warren Dunes State Park, which is located at the very south west corner of Michigan, about 15 minutes from Indiana, and an hour and a half from Chicago. Our campsite was very sandy so it was not just a clever name. We stayed in a rustic site which meant that the washroom was located in the bushes, and the shower was a swim in Lake Michigan. With no fire wood and too many bugs, we spent our evening playing dutch blitz in the tent. True Mennonites through and through. The next morning before we headed out we went to the beach along Lake Michigan. The water was freezing but the shower felt good.
