Wine Tasting in Santa Barbara

On the Wednesday of Mandy and Kyle's trip we drove to Santa Barbara to go to a vineyard for a tour and a tasting. The traffic was horrible on the way there and at one point we did not move for about an hour. We ended up going to Gainey Vineyards, which we chose because we were sick of driving and it was the first vineyard we came to. We got to taste about 6 different varieties of wine, all of which were good. The best part was that we could keep the glass which worked perfectly because Jesse and I were down to our last three wine glasses due to some unfortunate accidents. I was hoping to get a more extensive tour of the actual vineyard itself, however the tour remained in and around the building. Our guide was very knowledgeable though so we did learn alot. Because of the unfortunate traffic on the freeway on the way there, we took an alternate route home thinking it would be quicker. We were wrong. We drove on back roads that went along the side of the mountains and were thus curvy and narrow. It would have been a nice drive if it hadn't been dark and Mandy and I didn't feel car sick.

Note: Mandy was the one who took the pictures for this trip and thus I don't have any to post. I'll try to get them from her (hint hint Mandy) and post them soon.
